Great Zimbabwe University decided to take hand in the donation of goods to the victims of   cyclone Idai, as it was saddened by the loss of lives property and damage caused by cyclone Idai in Masvingo, Bikita, Gutu  ,Chiredzi as well as the eastern parts of the country.

The human resource department advised student and staffs  to give donations in form of food , cash , blankets , clothes , napkins / pampers, sanitary wear , soap etc. ,they also said that goods are to be send to information office , dean of students’ office, human resource office and school assistant registrar’s office.

“As the country counts the toll cause by the cyclone let us play our part in alleviating the suffering  endured by  victims, by donating to a good and noble cause .” said one of the human resource staff

GZU is also sorry for those who lost their lives in the tropical cyclone Idai and they are wishing  those who died to rest in internal peace
